The Customer Experience Program Difference at the University of California Santa Barbara Professional and Continuing Education | Extension

The University of California Santa Barbara Professional and Continuing Education | Extension is a national model for metropolitan universities. In collaboration with our many regional partners, we offer an experiential learning environment with outstanding teaching scholars in bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs.

With so many channels for communicating with your customers, the CX field is becoming more complicated than ever. As a result, Customer Experience is evolving into one of the most in-demand fields in the world. Executives understand that companies that deliver a superior customer experience cultivate brand loyalty, and achieve more significant revenues and profitability.  The proliferation of social media and customers sharing their experiences online makes Customer Experience more critical than ever.

As firms place greater emphasis on Customer Experience divisions, the job market for CX professionals is expected to expand dramatically. According to Gartner, 50% of consumer product investments will be redirected to customer experience innovation.  New interdisciplinary CX divisions are assuming roles traditionally handled by other disciplines because the customer doesn’t care which department they are speaking to when they need help. They want exemplary service!

Limited Attendees

We limit each 4-day class to no more than 35 participants. Typically, companies will nominate key individuals or a team of participants.

The primary purpose of the UCSB Pace | Extension Customer Experience Certification course is to teach participants the practical skills needed to immediately improve their organization’s marketing effectiveness and to drive ROI.

Academic Overview

The Customer Experience Certificate Program at the UCSB PaCE | Extension is designed to develop professionals who will do extraordinary things for their organizations. Participants will build new capabilities to improve customer engagement and retention. You will learn new concepts for analyzing, managing, and consistently improving the customer experience. The Customer Experience program will enable you to transform the corporate culture to be more customer-focused.

Customer Experience requires departments to collaborate across disciplines to understand the complete customer interaction. Our curriculum features teams working together to solve real-world problems. 

Our Customer Experience course is not a lecture setting; instead, our faculty guides you to solve today’s organizational issues through exercises and simulations.  If you join the online program, you'll have the option to collaborate in projects and discussions with the faculty and your peers.
