Mike Shinn graduated from UCSB with a degree in Sociology before going to Cal State Los Angeles for his MBA.  Mike has served in various capacities at UCSB for Housing and Residential Services.  In the private sector, Mike served as an IT manager for an executive recruiting company before being hired as an computer engineer at CIO Solutions. 

For the last 15 years, Mike has built CIO's service desk from the ground up.  CIO Solutions focuses on helping clients in the Santa Barbara, SLO and Fresno areas with their computer needs and focusing on a strong customer experience.  Mike has been involved with the Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce as an Ambassador and received the Ambassador of the Year award in 2017 while serving as the chair of the Ambassador Council.
